For the rube goldberg project, I decided to work with Alexander, because he is one of my best friends, he works really hard, and he can get some really cool ideas for the project. He also makes this project a lot more interesting, because we can collaborate with another person.
We decided to have our meetings at both houses, and we planned that our meetings had to be on a day when we didn’t have too much to do. We also agreed that the Machine would take place at his house, since it was bigger than mine, and he had more equipment and objects to experiment with. I researched on some things that we could use for the Rube Goldberg, and it was mainly from videos that I got inspiration from.
We were both really excited to make the machine, so we didn’t really care if some of our steps worked or not, because we could think of new ones. We were thinking of pretty similar things, like we wanted to have about 15 steps, and we wanted to make our steps pretty hardcore.
Before we made our groups, Ms. Edwards said no more than 4 people a group. Alexander and I, we were only 2 people, so we were fine, but some other kids, they all wanted to be together, but that would be more than 4. Instead, since we only had 2, Jett joined our group. None of us rejected him, so he became part of the group. We think he’ll be a pretty good member because he can think about awesome ideas that could help the Rube Goldberg machine.
