Hello again!
After winter break, school has started once again. This means more time to work on the automata. Our teacher has cut out the cardboard parts for the box, along with our cams and followers, which are the gears that make our automata function.
I am not that happy with how my cam came out, because the size of the cam was smaller than I had anticipated, although the shape of the cam was on point. The Vectornator app provided on our iPads proved to be extremely useful when creating the parts for our automata.
In class, we worked on glueing our boxes to hold the automata together. Everything worked out fine, until I realized that my box parts were not it the right place, and the hot glue had already set around the crease. Luckily for me, the remaining pieces all connected fine, and I will probably get some holes drilled in my box for the axles to fit.
