Maglev Blog Post #3

  This is our final design.

When we were trying to put beads on our Maglev train we improved our train by putting double strip magnets on each side of the track. We knew we had to do that because we did a experiment before this that showed that it would levitate higher with extra magnets on the bottom, and lower with extra magnets on the top, but if we did both it would be the same, but it would waste materials.

For our Final Maglev Train design we put one strip magnet on the left side of the train and the track and one on the right. To help carry the beads we doubled the strips on the track. We also made sure the train’s magnets and the track’s were lined up perfectly. We made like poles facing each other.

I learned that maglev trains are complicated and a learned a lot about magnets. I also learned that working with groups can be hard but if you want to accomplish anything in a group you have to try not to argue.
