Zelda Adventure

Hi everyone! It’s Will again. I play an awesome video game called The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. My best friend Rhys plays it too. So does my friend Aarav. You have to run around. You’re trying to kill this guy Calamity Ganon, who fatally wounded you 100 years ago. I like to run around and fight these guys called Bokoblins. They are monsters who want to kill you. You also have hearts–3 of them at the start of the game. I have 8 hearts—–just enough to survive one blow from a Guardian. Sammy Owl would like to play Zelda with me, but unfortunately our TV is in the living room, where he is not allowed. He thinks Zelda is cool. Also, I’ve defeated 28 shrines. You might be thinking, “Wow! He defeated 28 shrines!”

Problem: There are 120 shrines. I haven’t even conquered 1 fourth of the shrines, and I’ve been playing the game for over 5 months! That’s it for Zelda. Hope you read my posts again! Sammy Owl hopes so, too.

Video Game Vacation

Do you like to play video games? That’s what I spent a lot of my vacation doing! I played my new favorite video game that I got for Christmas: NBA 2K18. I found out you could make teams. I made a lot of teams. You have user teams in this video game. 2 weeks before, I made a team called the Richmond Sammy Owls. (Hilarious name, right?) I started making more teams this week—but not for my stuffed animal Wisey Owl. (No offense, Wisey.) Wisey looks like the great horned owl below. (Not the basketball player, though.) I also played Temple Run 2. That’s a game where you have to run away from this ape who is trying to eat you. Courses never stop. I racked up my high score, with 215,000 something. I also unlocked Imhotep, an ancient Egyptian pharoah. I did play the Legend of Zelda: Bad Breath of the Wild (according to my friend Aarav.). But I only played for about 10 minutes. I was in Lurelin Village for the whole time. And I didn’t do anything intresting. I played MarioKart with my sister Julia, who is 6 years old. We made some characters and were on the same team every single time. It was an awesome week!

Later Bedtime

A Later Bedtime

BY WILL

Mom and Dad, I go to bed way too early. A lot of my friends have later bedtimes than I do, and I don’t think that is fair. I am 8 years old, and I still have to go to bed at 7:00. Vivian is 3, and she goes to bed at 7:00—–the same time as me. I am 5 years older than Vivian. Why can’t I go to bed at even 8:00 on school nights and even later on the weekends? I am more responsible than a 3 year old. I should go to bed at 8:00 on school nights and 8:30 on weekends.

If I had a later bedtime, I would have more time to do things. I could have more time to do other things than just my homework and something else. For example, I could read more. I don’t have time to read all the books I want when I read in my bed. Also, I could write more (especially Sammy on the Run 3) because you don’t let me write in bed. It is fun to write. I can also do my homework plus I can take my time instead of rushing so I can do other things. I could also play with Julia and Vivian and that would help me bond with them even more, especially that the Winter Olympics are coming up and we are doing our own. Also, we could play more of our games that take about an hour to finish.

If I had a later bedtime, I would have more freedom. If I had more freedom, I would be more responsible. I would be funny, nice, and kindhearted with Julia and Vivian. If I was more responsible, you wouldn’t have to ask me to do all the things I need to do, since I would do them myself. I could also put myself to sleep since I would fall asleep faster when it was later, and that would not take me as long to fall asleep. For example, one night I was really excited about other things and I couldn’t fall asleep. I finally fell asleep at 8:30. Do you really want me crying on school nights or weekend nights? Also, other children are experiencing freedom as a kid. I have a lot of friends who have a bedtime over 8:00, so it can be done.

Some parents may think that it is not good for their child to be able to go to bed whenever they want, because they won’t make good choices and will just stay up for half the night. However, I know when I like to go to bed and will make good choices. I will not stay up so late (8:00-9:00).

I should have a later bedtime. I will have lots more time to do all the things I need to do, experience freedom, and a later bedtime will make me lots more happier. What are you waiting for? Change my bedtime now!
