Debate

My Group’s debate topic is underwater exploration or Space exploration. I am on underwater exploration and you need to find 3 reasons and 3 pieces of evidence. We had a series of different debates, after each one we improved till we finally recorded it. We also after each person said their evidence you have to rebuttal, which means we should reply or counter their evidence. We also had a little self assignment video after.  This was our Debate:

This is our self assignment:

This was our feedback:

Rube Goldberg # 6

On our last day, we basically had to get our success.  This was quite hard.  We in total had ten tries before our success.  Some completely failed; some very close.  Since we had many dominos, it took a while to rebuild between fails.  We had distraction such as an intense basketball game on TV.  On our eleventh try, we achieved our success.  After this, we destroyed our project.  We also popped the rest of the balloons.  We had finished our Rube Goldberg project!

Rube Goldberg #5

We had eight steps in total.  Our first step was to roll a marble down a paper tube.  Next it would hit dominos that hit a ping-pong ball which rolls and hits more dominos.  Those dominos led to a mini tower that climb up to a teeth model from a dentist office which then hits wooden blocks that trigger dominos which led to a huge tower.  This tower is made out of wooden blocks, dominos and paper cups.  The dominos go up the tower which hits a marble that triggers the pulley, which releases a pool ball that pushes a wooden block with the thumb tags to pop a balloon in the end.

Rube Goldberg #4

Our final step is to pop a balloon to wake me up from boring homework.  During this process we had to blow the balloons.  This was an interesting experience.  We learned that using water balloons are better than regular balloons, because they are smaller and thinner.  We also learned that if you blow the balloon too big, it gets too thin and tying it makes tiny holes.  During our experiment we learned that facing it sideways ensures the thinnest layer is vulnerable to popping.  To pop the balloons, we decided to use thumb tags that are hot glued to a wooden block.  To make sure one connects with the balloon, we had three thumb tags on the wooden block.
