Book Review Diary of a Wimpy Kid Old School

Greg is the main character in this story. Inside his house, there was his mom, dad, Rodrick, and Manny. His grandpa lived in a nursing home but the rent rose too high. Greg’s grandpa has to live with them. His grandpa chose Greg’s room to sleep in. So Greg sleeps with Manny now. Greg and his grandpa wreck the dads’ car. So as not to get in trouble, Greg went to a camp that his school was hosting. Greg tried to sneak into the girl’s camp to steal deodorant. He stole a bag but it was the old lady who was a counselor for the girls and she was really mad. There was also a rumor saying that Silas Scratch eats up children. Found out if Silas really eats the children? I highly recommend this book for kids my age because it’s very funny and interesting.

I learned to jot suspects and clues. And to use a storyteller voice.I learned to jot down what is the problem and who is the crime solver and does he or she have a sidekick.


Dink, Josh and Ruth Rose wanted to find out who or what was making screaming sounds in the WW’s castle. They wanted to solve this mystery. They did not know where the screaming was coming from so they went to the playhouse and found a hidden door that lead to a dungeon. The dungeon had rare parrots inside and the second night they were there they found that Rip the boat buy wanted to sell the parrots in the dungeon. Rip ended up getting arrested for trying to sell the parrots. Ruth Rose, Dink and Josh set all of the parrots free.
