Blog Post #2 (Reflecting On My Video)

I loved doing this project, I had a really good time learning about my babysitter and why she came to America. The most challenging part was putting together the WeVideo, the voice-over wasn’t working, I had to change to a different computer a lot and trying to find pictures I wanted to use. But I still had a lot of fun doing and overcoming the challenges.

Here is my final project:

Overall Constitution Project Reflection

This project was really fun and I learned a lot during this like stuff I thought was so crazy.  It made me realize how crazy times were and how different the times were then to now. While doing my overall project it was really fun and I even needed to do more research! I loved doing my research and putting all the work I have put into this unit to something I am proud.

Here is my project:

Blog Post #2 (Refection On my Research So Far)

During my research it has been challenging but also sometimes it can be fun and motivating. If I were to say the most challenging part it would be finding actual good websites with useful information. Most of the websites I looked at didn’t have a lot of information or didn’t have what I was looking for. It took me 2 days to find the information I was looking for. The things that have kept me motivated are when I find something that I will use or when I move one step close to the final project!

Blog Post #1 (Why I Chose My Question)

My question is, “How Did the Constitution Begin?”  I chose it because I always am wondering, Who started the Constitution? Who played the biggest impact while making the Constitution? What made the Constitution possible? During the Constitution did it go smoothly or was there fighting and chaos, and much more.  During my free time I like to find the answers to these questions, but never really find the answers. During this I hope that I can find the answers to these and really find out what actually happened.

Should the Electoral College Process Change?

I think that the electoral college process is unfair and needs to be abolished because it often results in situations that do not accurately portray who a majority of Americans really want as president.

I think that the electoral college process is unfair because it allows the presidential election to be decided by a handful of states. I know this because depending on the population of each state they get more electoral college votes so technically if the bigger states vote for one president it is a higher chance of that president winning.

I think that the electoral college process is unfair because it ignores the will of the people. I know this because there are over 300 million people, but just 538 technically decided on who should win. In the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by more than one million votes, but yet still lost the election on electoral votes.

I think that the electoral college process is unfair because it is a “winner takes all” type of thing. This means that if one candidate has 51,489 votes and the other one 51,488 votes, the first candidate would take all the votes just because they lost by one vote. If there wasn’t this process it wouldn’t really affect the score but with it it affects it so much.

In conclusion I think that the electoral college process is unfair because it is like a winner takes all type of game.

Who Should Win 2020 Election

I believe that Joe Biden should win. He should win because he supports everyone and is keeping everyone safe and cares about Covid-19 unlike Trump.

I believe Joe Biden should win because he supports everyone. He believes that everyone deserves a fair chance and hates that black people and BI, LGBT people and more don’t get treated the same. On the other hand Trump said that he doesn’t support these people and if he wins he is going to maybe take away women’s rights!

I believe that Joe Biden should win because he cares about Covid-19 unlike Trump. I know this because at Biden’s Rallies everyone is in their cars, wearing masks and 6 feet apart while at Trumps, little to no one wears masks. Also Biden is wearing a mask wherever he goes, you could never see him with one not on in public. On the other hand Trump barely wears a mask and even got Covid-19 and said, “Don’t let it dominate you,” and even he said Covid doesn’t matter while 231,000 people died from it and lost their family!

In conclusion I think Joe Biden should win because he supports everyone and actually cares about Covid.

Jamestown/Plymouth Venn Diagram

This is my first post on our Social Studies Unit about Colonial Times. Yesterday we studied and learned about Jamestown and little about Plymouth. We wrote down the history about when they were on the boat ride and when they settled. Today we meet with Mrs.Rickard’s class  and made a Venn Diagram with my group. My group was Lilac, Carlie and Madeline. It was a bit hard because you had to put the information in and make sure that it made sense and the hardest part was that I was in a group and we all had to agree with each other about everything.

Here is The Venn Diagram:
