Who Should Win 2020 Election

I believe that Joe Biden should win. He should win because he supports everyone and is keeping everyone safe and cares about Covid-19 unlike Trump.

I believe Joe Biden should win because he supports everyone. He believes that everyone deserves a fair chance and hates that black people and BI, LGBT people and more don’t get treated the same. On the other hand Trump said that he doesn’t support these people and if he wins he is going to maybe take away women’s rights!

I believe that Joe Biden should win because he cares about Covid-19 unlike Trump. I know this because at Biden’s Rallies everyone is in their cars, wearing masks and 6 feet apart while at Trumps, little to no one wears masks. Also Biden is wearing a mask wherever he goes, you could never see him with one not on in public. On the other hand Trump barely wears a mask and even got Covid-19 and said, “Don’t let it dominate you,” and even he said Covid doesn’t matter while 231,000 people died from it and lost their family!

In conclusion I think Joe Biden should win because he supports everyone and actually cares about Covid.

Wish By Barbara O’Conner

Charlie is a tough girl but deep inside she is sweet and caring. As she moves to her aunt and uncle’s house she thinks that is going to be awful and annoying. However, when she starts living there for a few weeks she starts expressing her feelings inside that were hiding.

Charlie is a tough girl but deep inside she is sweet and caring. For example, when her sister Jackie told her that she was moving in with her aunt and uncle and her sister was moving in with her best friend she was really mad and thought to herself that it was not fair.  Why should her sister live with her best friend and she had to live with her aunt and uncle that she barely knew?!

When she gets to her aunt and uncles, she hates it. She thinks that where they live is boring and has so many hills and hates her princess sheets. As time goes on, she goes to school and hates it too. She meets a kid that is her backpack buddy and doesn’t like him either.

Later in the book, she slowly starts to become friends with her backpack buddy and meets a dog in the woods and immediately loves the dog.  Her uncle says she could keep the dog if she can catch it. So she is trying to catch it and make it hers.

A few days later, she talks to her aunt about all of the bad things there and starts sobbing. She wants to go back home.

Later that week, Charlie apologizes and cries.

In conclusion, Charlie gets more sweet and caring later in the book when she realizes that not everything is bad.

Reading The Weather Reading The World – Project Reflection

This project was really fun and took a long time and took a lot of work! First Mrs. Rago told us our groups. My group was Me, Elizabeth and Madeline, we were the tornado group. Then Mrs. Rago gave me books about my topic and we started researching about tornadoes.  That part took about a week. After that we got to choose what we wanted to study about for our topic. I choose Causes. Elizabeth choose Effects and Madeline choose Important events, First hand experiences and safety and finally Prevention. Then we went to computer lab and we made a google docs and I wrote a paragraph (Narrative) about Causes of Tornadoes. Writing the narrative took 2 days. Some people called the Paragraph a Brain Pump. Once we finished that we took the important parts of the narrative and put them in our script. I had 2 slides to talk which were each 15 seconds. Then me and my group timed our slides to make sure our slides were 15 seconds. Mrs. Rago told us that we also had to make an Introduction and Conclusion. I did the Intro and Elizabeth did the conclusion and Madeline didn’t do that because she is doing 4 slides and me and Elizabeth had 2 slides until we each got the extra slide.

Here is my brain dump and Script:

Brain dump

Causes: For a tornado to form it needs warm moist air from a warm climate, like the Gulf of Mexico, and cold dry air from somewhere like Canada. When they meet they make the atmosphere unstable. Then when the wind changes direction and gets faster and higher it creates spinning that is invisible, when that air rises makes the spinning go up and down.

Tornadoes often start by an unusually thunderstorm. The most common thunderstorm to make a tornado is a supercell thunderstorm. (That is the highest thunderstorm there is.)  Did you know that some tornadoes are so complex that scientists still don’t understand tornadoes, but even though they might not know a lot about them the more they study them, the more we will be safe. You know what scientists also don’t know? How tornadoes die out. The only continent that doesn’t get tornadoes is Antarctica. Some places besides North America get a lot of tornadoes like Northern Europe, Western Asia, Bangladesh, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. In the middle of the United States there are really strong tornadoes so they call it tornado alley. Tornadoes often happen in the summer because of all the warm air.

Script

1 Intro (Allie) Education of Tornadoes is very important in understanding strong weather storms. They’re giant spiraling wind funnels; Also known as Twisters. Learning about creation process, destructive effects as well as safety measures will increase your chance of survival.
2 Causes (Allie) For a tornado to form it needs warm moist air from a warm climate, like the Gulf of Mexico, and cold dry air from somewhere like Canada. When they meet they make the atmosphere unstable. Then when the wind changes direction and gets faster and higher it creates spinning that is invisible, when that air rises it makes

the spinning go up and down.

3 Causes (Allie) The most common thunderstorm to make a tornado is a supercell thunderstorm.  A supercell thunderstorm is the strongest and most dangerous type of thunderstorm. Supercells cause damaging winds, large hail, and strong and violent tornadoes.

When a supercell forms a tornado it is very dangerous and very scary.

After we made a Google Slide and started making our Ignite side show. I have the first 3 slides and after that Elizabeth had 2 slides then Madeline had her 4 slides and then Elizabeth had the last side. IN each slide we were only allowed to put 1 picture or max of 6 words. Then we had to memorize our scripts and then we had a lot of practices. After we finished memorizing our scripts Mr.Casal made one big slide show of all the groups.

Jamestown/Plymouth Venn Diagram

This is my first post on our Social Studies Unit about Colonial Times. Yesterday we studied and learned about Jamestown and little about Plymouth. We wrote down the history about when they were on the boat ride and when they settled. Today we meet with Mrs.Rickard’s class  and made a Venn Diagram with my group. My group was Lilac, Carlie and Madeline. It was a bit hard because you had to put the information in and make sure that it made sense and the hardest part was that I was in a group and we all had to agree with each other about everything.

Realistic Fiction – Don’t let the Chipmunk in!

This is my realistic fiction story. This is also a problem and solution story. It is about a girl who got a chipmunk in her house and is really scared of the chipmunk. She is a girl who is kind, loving and always scared of things. I got this story idea from a time that has happened to me before. This is a story that I will be revising throughout the year. So keep in mind this is not a finished project, it still has to be revised. This is a book that has a series in it. Hope you enjoy!

Book Review (All the Answers)

This is my book review on the book All the Answers by Kate Messner. I worked really hard on this for three days. First we got to choose what book we wanted to write about. Then we started our planning page. That took me one day to do. Then we wrote our book review on Google Docs.  All this was really fun and I worked really hard!

Book: All the Answers

Author: Kate Messner

Recommended by: Allie

Have you ever wondered what all the answers were to all the questions you have? Well in the book “All the Answers by Kate Messner” that happens all to a girl named Ava with her magic blue pencil.

In this book Ava Anderson, the main character finds a magic blue pencil in a family dunk draw. Also, Ava’s dad wants to make a world famous thing. Ava finds out that the magic blue pencil is good and bad.

My favorite part of the book was when Ava’s sister Emma calls herself names like Emma – my – name – is – Uranus. Also, when Ava f

inds out something about her mom.

You will like this book if you like when people have problems and when books have suspense. I give t

his book a 5 out of 5 star rating because it keeps you interested when Ava has a lot of problems going on at the same time.

Peru (Cultural Universals)

Welcome to my Cultural Universals project! This project took me about 6 weeks. First we chose our country me and my partner chose Peru. Then I went to the library to take books about Peru. Then we started studying about our country. Then we got to choose if we were going to do Adobe Spark or Book Creator. I choose Book Creator. Then I started working on Book Creator. I took me about 2 weeks to do. I had to revise a lot. That was the most challenging part. I hope you enjoy!

What’s Your Favorite Season?

This is my graphing project. I surveyed my classmates and asked them, “What’s your favorite Season?” I tallied my results and created a huge poster sized bar graph. Then I made a Google Slides Presentation. In my Google Slides, I created a bar graph and pictograph to display my data. One thing I enjoyed about this project was coloring in my bar graph. One thing I found challenging about this project was drawing the bars and making them straight on my poster sized bar graph. I hope you enjoy viewing my final Google Slides Presentation.

Expert Book – Girl’s Gymnastics

I worked on expert book on a topic that I knew a lot about. I chose gymnastics because I enjoy doing it and I know a lot about gymnastics. At the beginning we planned out our table of contents and decided what our topic was. Then, we wrote our book in our writers notebook. After we put our book in Google Slides and added photos in the Google Slides. This book took a long time to work on and revise. I hope you enjoy my book!

Thanks for reading! 🙂

Maglev Train Post #3

Based on yesterday we did not make any improvements. Me and my group just tried to make more marbles go on the train. We were able to make 36 marbles go on the train.

The train had 4 strip magnets on the track on each side there were 2 on each side of the track. The train had 2 smaller strip magnets on each side of the train. I think the train were successful because the train could go by move by itself and levitate.

I learned to have grit when something does not work. Also I learned the Engineering Design Process. Also I learned how maglev trains work. Working in a group was really fun and I learned how to work better with a group.
