It was a hot bright sunny day in New York. It was so hot that I felt as if I was toasted marshmallow. I was outside of my house on Lee Road putting on my helmet. ‘CLICK’ it sounded. Next, I put my biking gloves on. They were gray and black. The gloves were made by a company called “Bell.” Then I rode my bike down the steep hill to the park.

My mom and sister were already down there. My sister also had her bike. My sisters bike was a pink and white road bike with training wheels. My bike is a white dirt bike. The park was medium sized. It had a zip line, swings, a climbing ball/ wall, three types of spiny things, a basketball court and a baseball field.

Me and my sister rode our bikes around the park. After about 20 laps around the park, it happened! I was trying to avoid a slow person riding their bike. He had a small bike with training wheels. The boy looked about my sisters age which is four.  I tried avoid him by going around a black fence, on the dirt. But I realized that person was going faster than I had thought. I was going at top speed trying to avoid him but then BOOM CRASH!!! I had driven right into a bench, missing the person.  ‘OW’! I said as I hit the ground. My leg hurt a bit.  But I was okay.

As I picked up my bike I noticed something. I noticed my back wheel. It wasn’t moving! The back brake was clamped on to the back wheel. I felt annoyed because I couldn’t ride it anymore. I brought it over to my mom. She said that we were going to have to bring it to the bike shop. I felt disappointed. Eventually, my bike was fixed but I had to wait a whole day.
