I wonder if the cossacks actually killed him. I think they did but I also think they might’ve not killed benyimon. I also wonder why nobody would help him and why he didn’t listen to fivel.
I think think that Ma and Benyomin are going to get captured by the Cossacks and Hannah will have to take responsibility. I also think that because Yusig’s parents gave them a cross so it looked like they were christian so the Cossacks wouldn’t bust in and kill them that Fivel will start being nicer to Yusig.
I don’t really think that Fivel is bullying Yusig, because they meant it as a joke. Even Yusig understands, which I don’t think would count as bullying.
I don’t think benyomin got killed. I think the cossacks thought benyomin was a cossack because the fur hat. I Benyomans family is really worried about him.
OMG. I can not believe that that just happened. That was the biggest twist ever. I knew the Cossacks were going to return but I didn’t think they would KILL Benyomin. Now I’m very sad. I don’t know why those people didn’t let him in. So their scared. Scared enough to basically KILL a little boy? Those were not my favorite chapters!!
Before I read chapter 13 I thought that Benyomin or Fivel might get killed because they knew that Benyomin was some were down the road then I started to think when Benyomin started running that maybe he could make it but I was wrong.
I think somehow Benjamin will survive the Cossack raid, but he will die soon after. i think the only reason Fivel and his family are alive is because of the “cross” that Yussig’s mother gave them to hang on the door. I think when the Cossack are gone the town will be in ruin, people will be dead, and supplies will be gone. I think that Beryl’s character will become more and more important as the story progresses. I also think that as the days go on Fivel will realize that his father probably won’t send them the money. I think these event have most likely convinced Ma that she should give Fivel away because it is not safe in there town. Though it is possible that these events have urged Ma not to give up Fivel because he is probably her only living son.
I knew the Cossacks would come back, but i didn’t know they would kill Benyomin. I was also appalled at the actions of those people who didn’t let him in. They should feel bad they could have saved a life. At the end of the chapters I was in tears.
Did Benyomin die!!! I still have a spark of hope that he’s still alive, but I’m not sure. That was a big, big, BIG plot twist. I was not expecting that. Now I’m guessing that man won’t have to take Fivel away. They’ve already lost a mouth to feed.
