In the book Seedfolks by Paul Fleischman chapter 12 is told by Amir. Amir is indian. He has 1 son and a wife. Amir walked by the garden 1 day and like all the others who walked by he joined it. In India all of his neighborhood was friendly to him and he was friendly to them, but in America your neighbors don’t say 1 word to you. When he joined the garden all of the people in the garden started talking to him and they become friends. One day a couple of people from the garden had a BBQ, and the whole block came. The garden was filled. Amir was talking to a lady and they were becoming friends, but then Amir remembered that, that same woman received the wrong change from his store and she got fired up. He didn’t want to remind her because they were getting along well. So he kept quiet. I can’t wait to read the next chapter Florence.
