Building Things

To build something, to me, is basically just simply assembling something. I have built something before, for school. It was in 6th grade and it was in Science. The unit was to build a trebuchet. We each got our own little trebuchet kits to assemble. It was very fun, and I got to build it with a partner. Is still have it (I think) but I don’t know where it is.

Yes, building something can definitely mean taking parts that someone has prepared for you and assembling them — like a lego kit, or a piece of Ikea furniture.
But building something can also mean designing something from scratch – coming up with an original idea, planning out what materials you will need, measuring and cutting and assembling those materials to achieve the final original design!
