We started our Rube Goldberg projects recently and so far. A Rube Goldberg is a complex machine that does a simple task. For this project we have to make a Rube Goldberg that has at least 8 steps and 3 simple machines. I have done my first sketch and started building a little. Before I started the sketch I thought up a plan. After a while of thinking I realized that it was too complicated to do so I tried to be more realistic. One reason it was too complex is because it included materials I did not have. My rube goldberg project is still a little bit complicated so I guess I didn’t think that realistically. 

Mostly my biggest challenge is to make the pulley because I can’t find string. Anyway I heard that you can make a pulley string with a folded tape. I tried that out a little but it’s still hard to get the pulley working. Another challenge is that while I’m working it’s so easy to set off the rube goldberg by accident and then I have to restart.

It is really frustrating just building it because you have to keep testing a part until it works (Like my pulley which I still haven’t fixed). In all, I feel I’m still not really making much progress because of how much time it takes.
