In class we learned how to make solder people, solder is a type of flexible metal that is made out of tin or lead. Solder can be turned into glue when using the proper machine, the soldering iron. The soldering iron can get as hot as 800 degrees! When using the soldering iron you touch the tip to where you want to solder for 10 seconds, then you slowly bring the solder to where the soldering iron is. The metal will melt into glue and leaving lots of steam! When using the soldering iron it’s critical to put on safety goggles so the steam does not into your eyes!

Hi, My name is Jenny! In my family I have a little sister, a mom, and a dad. Normally, if I had a choice of my favorite things to do, (not including playing video games), it would most likely be playing chess, soccer, or reading. I also really enjoy camping outside, but my family doesn’t always have the time. I love candy, but my mom doesn’t like me eating it.

What I would prefer to do first is to play chess. I absolutely love to play chess. Most of my time is spent by playing it. My dad and sister both know how to play. When my dad loses he get’s really mad. Whenever I beat him it makes me so happy. The bad thing is my mom doesn’t know how to play that well yet because she just learned.

I really like soccer as well. My dad and sister both like to play too. My sister and I both play on a soccer team. I enjoy playing soccer with my family more than on a team. Too bad my mom doesn’t play. If she has extra time she likes to watch us play.

Reading is something else I love to do. Sometimes when I get too hooked up in a book, I kind of forget what I’m supposed to do. Something else that happens is that I forget time is passing. My favorite books are by Roald Dahl. I really like the BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the Witches and many more books by Roald Dahl.
