My group’s question was: What happens to a plant when you add hot water to it? Our hypothesis was: If we give the plant hot water then it will grow the same but live a shorter life because the body of the plant cannot stand all the heat.
This is week 2 of observing my control plant. I noticed some big things happening to this group of plants. Now my plant is about 6 cm tall. My plants are looking straight up because the light is right above them. The plants are green because the chlorophyll is green. There are a lot of leaves on my plant. Now I think that there are 15 through 25 leaves. My plant are growing really fast and about 1 cm per day. Last week of observations the plants were really small. Since then they grew about 2 to 3 cm.
My experimental quad is doing really well. I think it is growing faster than the control quad. My experimental quad is 8 cm tall. It is growing really fast like 1 and a half cm per day. It is really cool to watch my plants grow. That might be a bad thing. The plants are not really facing a certain direction because the light is right in their face. It has a lot of leaves. I think more than 20. My plants have grown many leaves since the start.
So far my hypothesis is somewhat correct. It is growing about the same as my control group, however it is not dying as I thought it would. The experimental quad is growing faster than my control. I think it is doing that because the pain makes it rapidly grow. It is also growing normally like I predicted.
