My site visit was only about 20 minutes away and was at 44 Board in White Plains. At first me and my dad thought it wasn’t open because the door was locked and the lights were turned off but then when we were going to Pedigree Ski Shop which was right around the corner, we noticed that Pedigree was in partnership with 44 Board and that the manager, Scott was just in Pedigree right then, so he let us in 44 Board.

I told Scott about my capstone and luckily he said photography was allowed so I took a lot of pictures of the stuff in the shop. He showed me how the sizing worked, the different types of snowboards now and how they are used for different reasons, and the materials that were used to make snowboards. I also took pictures of the bindings of snowboards which is what people use to strap their feet into snowboards so they have more control, helmets, special snowboard boots, and gloves because it relates to the equipment used for snowboarding which is my third sub question. When I was done taking pictures, Scott gave me some snowboard magazines for free to help me with my project which I think was because they are going to get new “up to date” magazines when snowboard season starts again in the fall. He also gave me some snowboard logo stickers which I thought was pretty cool. Overall, i’m very happy how the site visit went because I got a lot of information to help me with my sub questions and a lot of pictures for my future Google slideshow.
