Technology-4

On Friday we did some work on making circuits.

We started by using just the lights, which was boring. Then we did some work trying to add this thingy. I think it was a switch, but it was rusty. Very rusty.🌧 So to open the screws, we had to use a lot of strength.😠 I honestly hated having to open that screw. Just hated it. It took like, 5 minutes just to open the two of them with a screwdriver. Afterwards we tried to make the circuit. However, we kinda struggled. Wed didn’t finish it in the end. :*( But we had fun, and that’s what counts!!!

In the past week, we have been studying the elements of the periodic table of elements. We studied the basics. I already knew a lot, so I didn’t learn much. I did however learn about what was the max capacity of the “rings” were. I also learned that Argentina was named after “Argentinium” (now called silver) because of a far fetched legend. 🇦🇷🇦🇷

Then we did a bit on electrical conductivity. ⚡️⚡️I learned about which elements were the most conductive and why. It was due to the electr0ns.

As I love the periodic table, this turned out to be a really fun week!😁😜

Tech-2

On friday we did a Breakout EDU. We had to break open a box with 3 locks. We were given 3 clues that were hidden in our half of the room that we would have to crack in order to open the locks. There was a direncions lock, and 4 number lock and an incomplete letter lock.

At first, we immediately found “A day in the lab”. It was a story of someone who broke 3 rules. We overlooked it as we did not see any match to a lock (but it did). Then we saw a path to safety. After using our first hint, I realized that the directions that you followed were the direction locks combination.

Next, after a while, half of the group was weorking to search for the one with the path while my half looked at the day in the lab. After some analysis, I determined that the answer was the number lock, and it was 5811. I knew this because he broke rules 5, 8, and 11.

Finally, after the second clue, I found a obvious hint that the final lock was First.

Right now, this is the 3rd lesson. I am currently a slight bit worried about how many ways I can get hurt. I mean, I could get burned, cut, get my hair stuck in a power drill, get a splinter, ect. However, this doesn’t mean I am not excited either! In fact, I am more excited than I am worried. I love making things and we will be doing a lot of that.Mr Calvert seems really nice, which is good. And honestly, I think Technology is so far one of the funnest classes. On the first and second classes, I got comically (AKA very badly) lost, which was actually fun.😜

So all in all, so far, so good.
