For our Capstone presentation we had four choices. One was a Ted Talk which had to be at least 5 minutes long and no longer than 6 minutes 59 seconds. Our second option was an Ignite. The Ignites had to be exactly three minutes long and 12 slides that change every 15 seconds. Our third option was making a movie or video. We used iMovie. The video had to be around three to five minutes long. Our final and last option which is not a presentation is a website. I had chosen an ignite but then my teacher suggested that I do a ted talk because I had too much information on my topic and did not have the time to say all of it in three minutes and also I was rushing and mumbling because I did not have the time to give all of my information.
Preparing for my final project was not too hard. We had to make a script. We also had to memorize our script. Finally we had to make our slides for our presentation. After we did all of this we had to practice it a lot at school. We would spend hours of our day practicing our presentation and listening to our class mates presentations. This was really cool because we all got to share something that we learned a lot about. All of the topics were really interesting and fun to listen to.
Overall I think this is a really good experience for everybody including the teacher and our class mates. I think so because it could give us all a little bit of background knowledge on a lot of cool and interesting topics. This could help if you are for instance trying to get a job as a construction worker and your boss asks you if you know anything about architecture and you could think back about capstone and remember that some one talked about architecture and then you could answer yes which may help you get the job.
