I chose my dad as my immigration interviewee because he’s told me a couple things about his childhood and immigration, and I wanted to learn more about it. My experiences during the interview was great; I was able to get detailed answers from my questions without ‘yes’ or ‘no’. An interesting/funny thing I learned while I interviewed my dad was that when he first saw Subway, he thought there was some type of underground train. Instead, he found that it was actually a restaurant.
