Laser cutting

In class we got to make a earring Chan or a book mark i chose earrings because of my design i chose a erring from a anime character. First i drew it on a paper to a small size the i put it in Vectornator to make the lines straight. When i got in the next day they got printed and they turned out great.

Banner

We made banners in class using Vectornator. We started by selecting a design for the banner. After we chose one we put our name on it which was hard because we had to make a lit and path them on the banner. When we got in the nexts day we got our banners a they turned out great.

Light

In class we learned how kids got trapped in a cave and they need to get them out. Then we were told to make a light that works under water with pvc pipes. We started to make our design the light also had to fit in a small box. For my design i chose a l shaped base then a pipe attached to a end. We had to measure precisely and cut it. After that we sadered the wires to make it work. Over all the project was hard.

we started out making designs. when we finished that we start making the base. first we raped a wire around a pole. the we put the design needs tape. we put metal matching the design. then we learned to weld and we welded all the metal to gather i did a j for my mom.  this project was really fun to do and i enjoyed it a lot

switch 2

the second switch had 2 models the first design was a bottin. but that failed so i had to come up with a easy design. thee design i came up with was 2 pipe cleaners. i pluged in one end of both of them so when you tuch them to gether if then they it powers the light.

Break in

One of the first lesson we learned was break out. Break out was you try to crack the code in 3 locks on the box. We had to find clues around the class. The clues were hard. But both teams solved it. The class was really fun and I enjoyed it.

Switch 1

My first switch was a lever. For the lever i used a popcycle with tinfoil on the end. On the bottom of the switch was another piece of tinfoil attached to a wire . I had to drill press a hole in the popcycle to make it move.

final capstone

I enjoyed making my capstone. I looked up how the computer game Minecraft, was used by different school districts to teach kids during covid learning.  I found 4 ways Minecraft taught Minecraft Edu, Minecraft education edition, coding and redstone. 

For my final project I did a wevideo. I faced many problems while making it. the first problem I faced was finding pictures. there weren’t many photos of minecraft. I needed a lot of photos for my video. the second problem was the audio I had trouble recording it sometimes would talk louder and faster. The timing of my audio and my pictures were off it took me multiple times to record.  The last problem was finding resources  there was not many resources that answered my question.

In conclusion the project was fun but hard and I am happy with what I made.

Capstone 2

The purpose of a interview is to get information from an expert. I sort of liked this part of it although it was hard.

The process of figuring out who to interview started with who uses minecraft to teach. At first I found a teacher who uses it but I didn’t have a way to contact him. So then I chose a person who makes lesions for people. It was hard to find people that use minecraft to teach. The main challenge was to find a way to contact them. I also wanted to find someone who lived in the u.s.a.  The person I found was Becky Keenes.

For my interview I did email and I sent her my questions. My interview went well I got better info than I expected. I  learned a lot from my interview like the age group minecraft teaching is best used for.

And that was my experience with my interview.
