S.S project 1 Reece

My research question is, Why is flag burning protected in the Bill of Rights? I chose this question because burning flags was in the first amendment of speech it caught my eye when i saw that. I wonder why they added it and what it did they think it would be used for that is why I chose my question.

Reading the weather Reading the world-Project Reflection

This was a hard project but I enjoyed it. Are group was hurricanes  . I enjoyed  writing the script .  I did not like the research it was hard  .I was cause finding stuff for a slide was hard there was only a little bit of information . we had one-three after we did a brain dump to see our facts . Then we wrote script  . here they are.

Slide Time Script See
1 Introduction (ALL) 00:00 – 00:15
2 (RK) 00:15-00:30 A hurricane is caused by evaporation over the Ocean. It needs certain wind conditions to create the spiral storm. Hurricanes require a distance of  300 miles from the equator to form because of the earth’s rotation on its axis (angle).
‘3 (RK) 00:30-00:45 Hurricanes need 4 things to form 1. Water evaporation from the ocean 2. Certain wind conditions to make it spin 3. Has to be 80 degrees fahrenheit for the first 165 feet above the surface or the hurricane won’t form. 4. Calm atmosphere.
4 ( OC) 00:45-01:00 There is a list of things that you should do before, during and after a hurricane happens. You would need lots of things in some sort of backpack. You need a flashlight, lots of extra batteries, NOAA radio with tone alert, food, 1 gallon of water per person a day,  and other stuff.
5 (OC) 01:00-01:15 You need to make sure that there is nothing that would blow away because that object could act as a missile and knock someone out cold. If there are very high winds, sea levels rise, dark clouds appear, there will probably be an upcoming hurricane.

6 (OC) 01:15-01:30 Scientists use the Saffir – Simpson scale to measure hurricanes. There are different levels of hurricanes. There’s a category 1,2,3,4 and 5. 1 is the weakest and 5 is strongest. A category 1 hurricane will have little damage.
7 (OC) Category 2 wind speed is not that strong but still strong. Category 3 has pretty strong winds. Category 4 has very high wind speed and lots of damage. A category 5 hurricane will probably destroy everything in the hurricane’s path.
8(AS) 01:30-01:45 Hurricanes can bring severe damage to where they make landfall. Category 1,2 and 3 hurricanes cause minor damage to landscapes, structures, flooding and beach erosion with dangerous wind speeds and gusts.
9(AS) 01:45-02:00 Bigger storms like 4&5 cause massive damage to land and people. These storms carry intense winds, heavy rainfall and powerful storm surges. It takes awhile and a lot of resources to recover from all the destruction.
10(SR) 02:15 – 02:30 Hurricane Sandy was one of the worst hurricanes ever. It hit Cuba with force. It destroyed 15,000 homes, 11 people killed, and $2 billion of destruction. In the United States, Hurricane Sandy hit 24 states, killing 233 people in total.
11(SR) 02:30 – 02:45 Hurricane Matthew was the first
“Atlantic hurricane” since Hurricane Felix in 2007. It was a Category 5 hurricane, which means it went above 156 mph It did severe damage to Haiti and the southeastern United States.
12 (SR) 2:45 – 3:00 A boy named steve had to go through hurricane Ike in texas and louisiana. He was 11 at the time, and everything was going crazy. He and his mom ran to the supermarket to get some last minute items for the hurricane.
13 (SR) 3:00 – 3:15 A women named neil witnessed hurricane sandy, also mentioned in important events, As a nurse. People evacuated 520 patients into hospitals in the area. Neal was also instructed to guide 2 new nurses during the hurricane.
14 conclusion (ALL) 03:15 – 03:30

then we made a slideshow we had to practices the slides then we added pictures it took a few weeks to memoirs it . here it is
