Welcome back to the Scarlett Sentinel. Today I am going to talk about my field trip to Philadelphia. In November, my whole grade got to miss school one day and go on a trip to Philadelphia. It was a fun trip but sometimes things didn’t go as planned. So the bus left from our school at 5:30 AM. It was about a 2 and a half hour drive to get there. At the beginning, everything was fine but at around lunch time, it started to rain. It rained the rest of the time that we were there, it even was still raining when we got on the bus to go back home. The day before the trip, I went home early from school because I was sick, I was still not feeling well in the morning but this trip only happens once so I wouldn’t miss it. Also because my mom was chaperoning which means that she was also coming on the trip. But the bus ride home was a disaster. Since it was raining there was so much traffic, so instead of taking 2 and a half hour to get back, it took 4 and a half hours. Since I was still sick my mom packed in 3 packs of tissues but we still ran out. That’s because I was blowing my nose the whole way home and my phone died in the middle of the bus ride, which is also really bad. After the WORST bus ride EVER, we finally got home!
