PHILLY HOCKEY

“Wow”my dad says as he opens the ice rink door. The rink where I would be playing my tournament was beautiful. The locker rooms were decent size,the ice was good,and there was a lot of space for the parents to watch. No one was there from my team so Tyler,his dad,Oliver,my dad,and I decided to go to Wendy’s to eat. I didn’t want to fill myself up so I just had a kids meal.

As we get dressed for our 1st game my head starts to hurt because of how scared i was. Some thoughts crawled into to my head thinking that I would do bad,they would crush us,or I would get hurt. The same thing was probably happening in everyone else’s head. When the game started they got 2 quick goals which made our heads drop. In the 2nd period our team got a goal from Ben Brown. He had gotten a from the rebound of my shot. In the 3rd period they got another goal which made us think we would lose. We ending up losing that game 3-1. When we got off the ice some of my teammates banged and threw their sticks in anger. Continue reading →

Inforgraphics

 When I first found out about us doing infographics I was like What? I had no idea what that meant. I figured out that info was short for information and the information was in graphics. An infographic is pictures that have captions that shows what your trying to say, just shorter not as persuasive. We made our first infograph yesterday 1/11/2016. Our assignment was make an infograph in 10 minutes about our life. Like what we, a timeline about our self. Since it was our first it wasn’t that good. When I did my infographic I thought about what I can show in a picture and a caption that describes me. I chose hockey and soccer my two favorite sports and the Rangers my favorite hockey team. When you do an infographic   you want to add shapes that pops out when you look at it. You also want to add colors that go good with the mood of you. Infographic can be a timeline or just put out there.Its kind of fun when you get the hand of it. You have to have an idea to know how to lay out your infographic before you start. Infographic are a great way to describe a whole topic on one page then instead of writing an essay. In that case it saves a lot of time.

Wizard of Oz Epilogue

My assignment in school today was to write a ending for the book The Wizard of Oz.

Dorothy finally came home after her silver shoes did their magic by letting Dorothy hit the shoes together and commanded them to take her to Kansas. When Dorothy arrived home in Kansas she ran straight to her Aunt Em who was gardening outside. Aunt Em went inside to call Uncle Henry who was inside calling everyone in town if they had seen Dorothy. When Uncle Henry came outside he was so relived that he gave Dorothy a big hug. When Dorothy went to bed that night she thought about if the flying monkeys ever took the scare crow the tin man and the lion back where he wanted to go. She also thought if the scare crow would be a good king of Emerald City and if the tin man ever was a good king in the land of the winkies and if the lion was a good king in the forest. 

    While Dorothy was having a good night sleep Oz was definitely was not having a good night sleep. He landed in the land of killer teddy bears. When he landed he thought they were cute and started hugging one of the teddy bears. As soon as he touched the killer teddy bear, the teddy bear’s eyes turned red and it went after Oz. Oz started to run away and the tripped and fell on another teddy bear which scared Oz and Oz started to run again. There were 1 million killer teddy bears lined up across the road and it was impossible for Oz to escape.

20% Time is Radical!!

 You may be wondering what 20% time is. Well 20% time is 20% of the week. In that 20% of the week we get to work on our class arcade. Any time Ms. Boyer says 20% time we get so excited. She says that post-its were invented during 20% time. The guy who invented post-its job had 20% time. Ms.Boyer says we aren’t allowed to do 20% time if we don’t work on something productive. During 20% time we all normally work on arcade. Some people paint and decorate, some people build and tinker games, and others make tickets. Are arcade is very complex. Our games aren’t just weak boring games that are rigged. They are almost the same as regular arcade games just we don’t have as good electronics.

        This is our very first game Ski Ball. Jared created this game. He has a very creative mind. This game turned out very well. This game has a multi player style and regular single player. All arcade games were based on Caine’s Arcade.But this game isn’t based on Caine’s arcade it is based on the game Ski Ball. All we used was cups, Cardboard, and tape. If you ever want to build a Ski Ball that’s all you need.

  This is our security system. Alex created this robot that you can control with an i pad, i phone, or i pod touch. It took a good amount of time to build this but it was definitely worth it. It has a camera that you can look at from the device you control it with. Alex’s dad is a big security guy. His job is a a type of security. Alex probably really admired his dad because he is doing what his dad does in his job but Alex

NHL 2K16

NHL2K is one of the best hockey games ever. You could do mini rink games, you could do shoot-out, you can do regular games, and you can do a season. NHL2K has good players too. It updates every year for the new players.

This is Isaac Newton. He is one of the greatest scientist that ever lived.

Isaac Newton’s 1st law of motion is an object will stay at rest until and unbalanced force is applied to it.That means that a object will not move until something makes it move.Isaac Newton’s 2nd law is force=mass x acceleration.This means that if there is more mass and acceleration the more force there will be.Isaac Newton’s 3rd law is for every action there is an opposite reaction.That means that when a rocket launches when the fuel is pushing out the bottom the rocket is going up.

Passion Project

If there was one thing I am passionate about it would the New York Rangers. I am passionate about about this topic because I watch every Ranger game. I know all the players well most of them not the AHL players but all the NHL players.I play hockey too. Even though I don’t go to many games I still look on yahoo sports every morning to check whats happening in the hockey world. My dad also watches hockey so we talk about hockey often.My favorite player on the Rangers is Ryan McDonagh. My favorite player in the world is Vladimir Tarasenko.
