Grade 7 Technology #3

Hello there!

For Technology, I have decided to make the small house from the last post, but I added a few changes. Recently, I had to be more specific with the measurements of the model house. I also needed to add what joints I will use to connect pieces of wood, and how much wood I will need. Each wood plank is 1/8 of an inch thick, 3 inches wide, and 36 inches long. I need 2 of these planks, because I want to double up some of the walls. Doubling up on walls means connecting two pieces of wood to create a new one that is twice as thick, thus making the wall stronger. The joints I will use are rabbet joints, because they don’t take up too much wood, like with a dado joint. I simplified the house by removing the door and windows, but you can still tell it is supposed to be a house because of the roof.
