“Happy New Year!!!” It was officially January 1, 2019. I was in my dream city, Paris, celebrating the New Year. As my family and I started walking to the subway, we saw a lot of people walking the other direction looking mad and tired.      ” Dad, don’t you think that something is wrong with the subway?”, I asked. “No, I think it’s fine.”, he replied. Obviously something HAD to go wrong, so when we got to the subway station it said………..CLOSED!!!, in big red letters. ” You’ve got to be kidding!!!”, said my dad sounding frustrated. My mom was holding my brother’s and my sister’s hands and I had been walking with my dad. We started walking down the stairs, disappointed and tired. Everyone looked so happy, but I was cold, tired, and hungry. The last time that we had eaten was at 10 pm and now it was 12:30 am. After about 2 hours of walking, we finally decided to take an Uber to our hotel. What a great way to start the new year!!!
