A maglev is magnets on a train car and train track. They have to repel to levitate and become maglev. The car should hover over the track. The poles must be like for example north and north or south and south. Maglev may not always work on the first try, you have use the Engineering  Design Process (EDP). Which is the process that you have to go throw to have a success. The things on the EDP are… ask, imagine, plan, create, and improve but that is not the order the order is anyway it goes. Our constraints were we could only use three types of magnets. Strip, ring, and disc.

My original design was a bunch of magnets on the bottom than more like a million. NOT a million just a lot. Then on the car we had a strip in the middle and ring on the sides. The track had one strip in the middle and ring magnets on the side. It did not hover. I thought it was because the magnets were not the same. It did not repel either. We had a problem. We just decided to go with another design.

Our second design we worked together really well. Eli Scott and Berke and me all helped. Our second design was a lot better and worked better too. It was our final design. It was three strips on the bottom like our top car. But on the bottom we improved and did x2 all the three magnets. Not on the car only the track. When we did it on the car is sank and levitated a lot lower. We found out that the when we put it on the track it levitated a lot higher. We held 22.5 magnets we could of held more but we ran out of time. The .5 was because there was a half a marble. The marbles acted as people and we couldn’t tape the cup on because people don’t want to be taped to there seat.
