I am currently studying Native American Traditions, and I am so excited to share some of my research with you!

I studied three tribes altogether the Mohawk tribe, the Cayuga tribe, and the Mohican tribe. I chose these tribes because I wanted to do tribes that are native to New York. I did tribes that are native to New York because it would be easier to go places to learn about them, and I want to learn about some of native history .I chose their traditions because I wanted to learn about their dances and costumes. (some of the things that we really don’t know about).

Each one of the tribes celebrates something called a Pow-Wow. Each tribes comes together to meet, dance, sing, socialize, and celebrates each tribes culture. The tribe that really celebrates this the most,like makes it so so important, is the Mohican tribe. The people call it “The Great Pow-Wow”.They start this in August.
