Plant blog post #3
Our controlled and manipulated both died so we threw away them. This is what it looked like as before we threw away it.
Our controlled was drooping but still healthy. The colors were purple, green, yellow and white. The height was 10 and ½. the shortest is 6 and ½. The texture is smooth with bumps on the end. It feels velvety.
Our manipulated was less green and brown. It was crooked and barely any flowers so it shows that sugar water isn’t good for plants. The highest was 7cm and the shortest was 1 and ½.
The plants were Wisconsin fast growing plants. We threw away the plants because they both died. R.I.P to our plants.
What I learned from this plant unit is photosynthesis makes glucose from water, CO2 and light. Photo means light and synthesis means to put together.
I also learned pollination is necessary for reproduction because pollination is moving pollen from one flower to another flower creates a new plant.
The roots of a plant holds a plant sturdy and sucks up minerals and water. The stem carries water and food to other parts of the plant and holds the plant to sunlight. The leaves holds food for future uses and collects sunlight. The flower petals act like a landing pan and attracts insects. The flower is the key to reproduction and honey. The fruit holds seeds for reproduction. The sepal protects the bud. A seed holds the embryo and the plant food
I LOVED this plant session!!!
