Technology Post #4

Ms.G has been very nice to us in 7th grade technology because she is letting us choose any topic again! This post isn’t really about technology but its an interesting thing to wonder.

The question of the day is: How is it like flying on a plane during COVID-19?

Well I can tell you one thing, it is VERY stressful. According to research flying on the plane is the least possible way for you to get COVID-19, but some people like me don’t believe in that and want to stay safe at home. This experience was traumatizing for me because im VERY scared of COVID-19 and of my family getting it.

First of all is checking in. This part wasn’t bad because their weren’t a lot of people at the white planes airport and most people were wearing a mask and face shield.

The next part was the scan/security check. This part was NOT GOOD. Lets start with the first reason, lots of people had their masks down, second a bunch of people were sneezing and coughing. Third, NOBODY and I repeat NOBODY was social distancing except for my family and everyone kept touching my emotional support animal when he was trying to keep me calm.

Next was the first flight. This flight was from NY to Miami Florida. This plane was crowded and stressful. I succusesfully stayed calm throughout the flight and managed to stay safe. Once this flight was over, we went on the second flight, Miami to Brazil (sao paulo) this flight was just like the other one, very stressfull. 2 minutes before take off, one of the people in caping crew called my brothers name on a microphone. “Luca Chamon! please come to the front of the plane for an upgrade.” My mom went to bring him up to first class while I sat in my seat scared and worried. Soon after they BOTH came back, I asked my brother why he wasn’t in first class and he said it was because he wanted to stay with us and he didn’t want me sitting next to a random stranger. They gave the lady the first class seat that my dad paid for and let her enjoy the best flight of her life.

so how did YOU think that going on a plane during COVID-19 was? Let me know what you think in the comments!

Thank you ms.G for reading this. Have a great day!

  1. Wow, that sounds like quite an adventure. It must have been very stressful indeed to watch other people not being careful, especially knowing that you and your family have been so careful!

I can’t remember the last time I was on an airplane. It’s been a couple of years, so I certainly haven’t been in an airport during this COVID pandemic time. I wonder when we will feel comfortable getting on an airplane again?
