I think we did okay on our first debate the only things that we could improve on is saying “um,you know,” we did this when we were speaking sometimes. When we didn’t know what to say we spoke quieter and you couldn’t understand what we were saying as much. I also think we could try not to make a pause. Somethings that we did well on is staying in order we didn’t have someone go two times in a row and stuck to the sheet. Another thing that we did well is we had lots of evidence and we unpacked that really well. Overall I think we did really well but we could improve the second time.

I think our group really improved the second time we presented.  For example, One thing that we did better on was saying “You know,uh,like,yeah” Even If we had trouble on a word or two we figured out a way to pull through without people knowing that we messed up. I think we spoke loud and clearly.  Another thing we did good on is we unpacked our evidence when on the video’s and we made sure it was understandable. The last thing that our group did well is we stayed with the order and didn’t have somebody go twice in a row. We had it well organized. Overall I think we did well because we spoke loud and clearly we unpacked our evidence and videos. I learned that debates our really useful in daily life and they help you learn a lot. Overall I really liked learning about debates because you get to prove your point in many different ways you get to choose your option.

Which TFK story will change the world?

I think the biggest TFK story that will change the world is the terrorist attack on Paris on Friday November 13.  I think this will change the world because I heard it was like September 11th for them.  The Eiffel tower is lit up in memory for all the lives that were lost in the terrorist attack.  This is very important because there lives can never be replaced.

NASA conversation

We talked with Rachel Power who works at NASA and we learned a lot of interesting and cool facts.  One of the interesting facts that we learned is they are launching a rocket and trying to land it on the National Space Station witch is going to make history if it is successful.  Another fact I learned is Scott Kelly is trying to live in the National Space Station for one year witch is going to break the record for the longest person who has stayed in space and they are comparing his twin brother Mark who is on earth and seeing what is different.  Overall I learned a lot more interesting facts and it was a fun experience.

Writing Non-Fiction Feature Article

For my non fiction feature article my topic was Hawaii.  Is was fun researching about it because I have been there before so I know what there talking about.  Another thing I like about the project is creating the non fiction articles was to look for the pictures that match the text that I wrote.  One thing that was complicated was when you create the non fiction article for me was spacing.  Where to put the different paragraphs and pictures and where to put the captions.One thing that helped my writing was since some Hawaiian language is hard to pronounce I put in parentheses how to sound it out.Overall I like to do this project it is fun to learn about all the information and decorating the article.
