Passion Projects: Ways I Can Make a Positive Difference In our Classroom

This week all you will be doing is brainstorming different ideas and questions. Each night your focus will be a little bit different.

Brainstorming slides to work on week of 10/2/17:

  •  10/2/17 and 10/3/17
    • Before you begin thinking about ways YOU can make a positive change in our classroom community, you need to identify what some of the problems are. Think about both academic and social/behavioral issues. You may want to take notes on a post it throughout the day tomorrow to add to your ideas on this slide.
      • For example: I notice that every time we sit down to do math…., We always seem to have a hard time…, Why do we pay so much more attention during read aloud than…,
  • 10/4/17
    • What are some questions you need to figure out before solving any of these problems?
      • For example: What is causing the problem? Why is a certain child (no names) acting that way? Why is it that transitions are so hard for our class?
  • 10/5/17
    • Keep in mind that YOU cannot change someone else’s behavior, only yours. So – what changes can you make?
      • For example: When the class is struggling to focus I can…, When we are writing down HW I can tell it is hard for a lot or kids to… so maybe I can…, We are not always working our hardest in class. I can…………to make our work time more efficient
