Reflection on Immigration Interview

For my immigration interview I decided to pick my Zadie (Grandpa) to interview. I picked my Zaidie because he was the first and only person I thought of that immigrated. When I was preparing for the interview I had a little trouble getting my questions ready and finding a good time and date to do the interview. Finally, my Zadie and I agreed to do my interview on a Saturday but we still didn’t have a certain time. I made sure to have my questions ready for the interview whenever it was going to happen. Then we found a time to do the interview and we did it! I thought it was cool that unlike most people my Zaidie already had so many friends when he got to America because almost everyone in his town immigrated from Canada to Florida. Also when my Zaidie immigrated he already has a wife and three kids and his wife (Bubby, Grandma) was an American.

Reflection on 1st Amendment Research

I liked researching the 1st Amendment because on almost every resource I used it had 5 different sections. Religion, Assembly, Press, Petition, Speech. There was only 2 things that were a little challenging. One was that almost every single site I used had the same exact information. Also some sights only talked about the bill of rights and not anything to do about the first amendment so I had to find a new resource. Overall I am really enjoying this project so far and I cant wait to keep doing it.

1st Amendment

The topic I chose to study is the 1st Amendment. As I decided this topic I thought of the research question, “Why did the founders decide to make the first amendment about speech, religion, press, petition, and assembly?” I chose to study the 1st amendment cause I thought it was interesting that it involves 5 different things and not just 1. Why cant there just be 5 different amendments then putting all in 1 amendment

My Thoughts on the Electoral College

I think that the Electoral college should change. I think that it’s a neat idea to have it, but I think it is a little too complicated. I think each state should have 1 electoral vote and not a certain amount every presidential election. A good idea would be every state has 1 vote besides the biggest state in population has 2. Then you need 26 electoral votes to win the election. It couldn’t be every state has 1 vote cause it could tie 25 to 25 since there are 50 states. That is what I think of the electoral college.

In my opinion I want Joe Biden to win this years presidential election. Besides where he stands on the economy I think he would make an amazing president. If he becomes president he says he will hire more taxes on the wealthiest Americans. I think that, that is not a fair way to hire taxes. I agree if he has to hire the taxes, but to just do it on the wealthiest Americans isn’t right. If all Americans deserve equal rights then all Americans deserve to pay as much as anyone else. That is why I take trumps side when it comes to the economy. Trump wants to lower the taxes. Which will not only help poor people but also help companies save money to get their businesses running, including because of this pandemic. On every other issue i take Joe Biden’s side. That is why I want Joe Biden to win this years presidential election.

At Home work

I wake up and then i eat breakfast. After that i d my homework. Then at 1:00 i eat lunch. After lunch if i am done with my homework then i coul do what ever i want as in go on the trampoline, go on a bke ride, hit baseballs off the tea, and shoot hoops. Then around 6:30 i eat dinner. Then my rother and i woukd usually play wuffle ball in the basement. Then i would watch a movie with my family and eat popcorn. Then i go to bed.

Mystery doug

Today at home I watched a mystery doug about how hand sanitizer helps kill germs. I got the question, What are 2 things you learned today about germs. One thing i learned is that ack in the day people didnt know germs existed. Also I thought it was impossible for people to actually have a picture of germs.

Mystery Monday #3

Today we did mystery Monday. We got peices of the map and put the all together and we caculated the water on the earth. My class and I found out that their is not alot of fresh water on the earth. Only 1% of water is clean but 2% of the water is clean but frozen. We were talking about different ways we can get more water. Finally we thought of ground water. We got the queston, How do people get water from far under ground. I think people get water from under ground from a drill or big machines that digs deep. After the hole is made you can get a well or just keep the hole there or just cover it up.
