Martin Luther King Jr

Since Martin Luther King Jr Day is coming up, I wanted to make a post about him. In this post, I am going to talk about how he persevered through challenges. Like hate and negativity.

There was so much hate on what Martin was trying to do with all his marches and speeches. But he kept on persevering. Eventually, in may 1954 U.S. Supreme court made a change to make school segregation unconstitutional. Martin kept going though. Just because of that accomplishment, it didn’t mean he would stop. He wanted to abolish segregation completely. He kept making speeches and protests against segregation. His most famous speech was “I have a dream”. This is how the most famous part of that speech went. “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Eventually U.S. Supreme court abolished all of segregation! This was thanks to Martin and the people protesting. This was a huge accomplishment for Martin! This changed the future of the nation. Thanks to Martin and his fellow protestors, today in the U.S. everyone is equal.
