Passion Project Journal #2

Okay so next journal post (these are due today so that’s why they are back-to-back but next week I’m gonna do them with space in between).

This entry’s prompts are,

1. How did you go about identifying resources?

2. How will you make sure the resources are credible?

3. Which resources do you think will be most helpful? Why?

4. What nonfiction reading skills are you trying to improve upon while you are learning more about your topic? How do these same skills apply to videos and interviews?

5. What notetaking strategies are you using? How and why did you decide on these strategies?

My hand is gonna get tired typing this.

So I went about identifying sources by looking on google for names that I know like Brittanica. I also know good sites because I studied Greek Myths last year as my Capstone Project.

I will make sure the resources are credible by checking the information with other resources and myself.

I think that the websites will be more helpful because it is in actual writing and they will most likely be written by good sites.

I am trying to improve on my stamina while reading nonfiction, because I was never good at sitting through books or articles i didn’t like and reading them. So I am going to try and improve on that. Videos I can sit through because there is something to look at or watch whereas with articles there is just the text and if you are lucky there is the occasional picture.

I am using the note taking strategies provided on Schoology and the ones Mr. DeBerry taught us. I am going to identify the strategy used to inform you in the article or video then I am going to write my notes in the exact same way in a chart or graph or just plain bullets.

Okay two done with and now I await the next ones for next week.

  1. This was really good and I like the way you stated what sources you were gonna use and how you mapped everything out
