I have to admit I had never heard of Rube Goldberg before this class. I was excited to hear that we could pick our own partners and I was glad that Kevin wanted to work with me. I knew after our first meeting that we would work good together. We brainstormed ideas about what our project would be, made a semi-sketch and even built a tiny model using plastic pipes and marbles.  We did have some fun, too, but by the end we had an idea of what we were going to build.  We knew we had to keep an open mind on suggestions and definitely make a lot of changes along the way.
