I grow in the beautiful Heathcote garden,

I have bright orange flowers,

I have shining leaves,

I have a skinny stem,

  I am a Mexican sunflower

 I feel the blowing wind,

 I feel the shining sun,

 I see the white clouds,

 I see the green grass,

I am a Mexican sunflower.

I am next to  purple asters and a green lily

I have butterflies sitting on my flower throne

I have bumblebees drinking my honey

I am a Mexican sunflower

Last month,

I had none of the bright orange flowers,

Next year

I will stand taller and brighter

I am the

MEXICAN SUNFLOWER!
