B-L-U-E All The Way To Victory!

Hi guys,

When you are a fifth grader at Fox meadow you participate in something called the Winter Games. For three days you get to play fun games, cheer on your class mates, and have fun with your friends. For the past forty years the winter games has been a tradition in our school. We are divided up into 4 teams, North, South, East, West, and we compete in athletic and academic events. In the Winter Games you are either competing in the sports or cheering your team on. The most Exciting event to me was the running relays. I competed in that event and I was on the North team. For the first time in the Winter Games we had something called the run off. It’s when two teams tied and we compete in that sport again until we have a winner. The two teams to run off were my team, North, and the South team. At first I thought is was going to be another tie because it was so close but at the way end the South team won. A really important part about the Winter Games is the cheering. While our teams are competing we cheer them on like crazy. After the first day of the Winter Games I got a sore throat. But I still cheered a lot anyway. One of the North’s cheer was… “B-L-U-E all the way to victory, go blue!” Our team yelled that cheer a lot through out the winter games. if you thought that was a lot we even got to go on a field trip to a curling club on the last day. It was so much fun. The last three days were so much fun with no school work at all, just fun games. North was tied for 3rd place. Even though we didn’t win I still had an awesome three days. I am so sad that the games are over but I had such a fun time…
