Blog Post #7 Amazing Share

I finished my capstone presentation. I learned that I can do anything and no one will stop me. Ben was really helpful because he helped me with the computer breakdown. I am happy it is over because it was hard work and a lot of information. My favorite part was building the computer and breaking it down. Everyone liked my presentation and even though Ben saw my TED talk a lot he still probably want to see it again. Capstone was fun and I liked it so much and i’m proud I stuck with my topic for 6 weeks.

Blog Post #6 Final Product

I’m almost done with my Capstone project!  I have been making small changes here and there and just need to add one picture to my iMovie and re-print my note cards. My script is done and I practiced it  a ton of times. I memorized most of the script cards but still need to look at them at times. Ben told me that he thinks my iMovie and script are very good. I shared my TED talk with the class and everyone thought I did well. I want to share my TED talk with Huge so Peenak can see how much he helped in the process. I plan to send them a copy of the iMovie and script. This has been a great experience and I want to keep learning more about computers.

Main and Sub Questions For Capstone

Recently I was at school thinking about my research question and I was wondering  how a computer’s “brain” works. My inspiration is Huge, my cousins Digital Marketing Company. They have two people who are dedicated to working on building computers and are considered Arduino specialists. An Arduino is a small computer that you can build on and program to make something happen using transistors, resistors, sensors, actuators, circuits, cables, etc. The first project i will be learning is how to turn LED lights on in a certain order.

On May 8, 2016 I was reading a book about the Arduino and found great sub questions. Then I thought of  more until I had five. I then looked up Huge’s website and watched videos about their technology group which helped me think of more interview questions. I worked really hard on my main and sub questions.

Choosing A Topic

I decided on this topic because I want to know whats inside a computer and what makes up the computers brain. I always wished to take apart a  computer and find the pieces. The maker space is one of my favorite places in the school. What was helpful was rewriting my questions until I had the right one that fit me. My next steps are going to be to start making another project on the Arduino.
