Rube Goldberg Post #3

I so far have 11 reactions which include batteries and balloons. Currently I am done with my sketch in this process and I made about 5 reactions. By building these 5 reactions and a sketch I learned that I would need a lot of picture books to have a lot of steps because the books carry the force simply where you want it.

My Rube Goldberg Sketch Page 2

This picture is very blurry and I can’t fix it so here is the link for the sketch.

The challenges I am currently facing is precision. The toy guns can be aimed and easily set up but when you are using a ballon lots of things can go wrong. For example a inch of a difference where a ballon is placed could make it go 10 inches the left. The challenges I think I’m going to face is mistakes and sudden realizations of problems. When I’m making the project because it is complex something can easily go wrong.

I have lots of goals for this project some that I have accomplished. One is getting at least 9 steps. Then the next is get 14 steps. In my blog one goal is to write at least 7 blog posts. Lastly another goal is use all 6 simple machines except for the wedge.

My simple task is going to be turning a page. I chose this because first of all it is a cool idea. But my main reason I chose this simple task is because it really is simple and I really couldn’t find a simple task better than this one.

Overall I like this project although it is hard. I think this project is going to get even more fun once we actually start building the contraption.
