Technology Post #4 Car Swicthes

As I talked about in my last blog post, we started to make switches to simulate self -driving cars’ programming or software. But today we played a game! If you’re reading this right now you are probably thinking to yourself “what the heck is this game that Michael is talking about?” This game consists of a couple of things; your 3 switches (Stop, Left, and right), a custom circuit (I will talk about that in a second), and a deck of cards. First let’s talk about the circuit. The circuit is pretty simple. It consists of a breadboard (See image below), a couple of wires, and of course, LED lights! This circuit would connect to your three switches by 2 alligator clips. (6 total). Ok, ok, ok now let me explain the actual game. There would be 3 roles. The police officer (Stopwatch person), the car (the one who controlled the 3 switches), and the dealer(s). The dealers would split a deck in half and throw 1 card at a time together, if there were 2 reds you would stop. If there were 2 blacks you would do nothing and if there was one black and one red, you would stop with the same side that is on the cards. This was a really fun and cool project and I would totally do it again!

this is what a breadboard looks like:

Also I couldn’t add the switch photos last blog Post but i can now so here they are!
