In “Refugee” Each of the charters wanted to leave their countries.

Josef (1930’s Nazi Germany) wanted to leave his country, because he was being treated unfairly , because he was a jew.

Isabel ( 1994 Cuba) wanted to leave her country, because her father was going to get arrest and because of a dictator in their country.  

Mahmoud ( 2015 Syria ) he wanted to leave, because of the bombing and civil war in his country, also his apartment got bombed.

All of these reasons why they wanted to leave are similar, because all of the characters felt unsafe in their homes and had to leave to be safe.
