When Mrs.Cooper said we were going to do feature articles for our next writing unit I already knew what I was going to do mine on. I did my feature article on dogs. 

 I enjoyed making it but it took a lot of work. 

First we made a plan of what we wanted our feature article to be about. I wanted to do dogs because I have a dog and I had one my whole life so I know a lot about dogs. I started drafting and it was a long process. We had to make a message we wanted to teach the reader and we needed to make a title and subtitles. I chose for my title interesting little wolves but then changed it to interesting little fluff balls. And then my subtitle is the pet that is the most cuddly and interesting and cute. 

After we finished drafting we made a google slideshow and we put a lot of rectangle shapes in it to put our writing in. After we copied and pasted our writing into the slideshow we had to fit all the words into the boxes. After that we had to put pictures and graphs in. then we had to make sure that the spacing between the boxes and the pictures was the same. Then we had to check spelling and punctuation and run on sentences. We also had to look at a hard copy of our feature article and see if there was anything we had to change or edit or fix. Then we had to put the changes in the real feature article. Then we looked over our feature article to see if we had to fix or change anything.

The hardest part was trying to make everything perfect. 

The easiest part was choosing the topic. It was easy for me to chose the topic because i already had ideas in mind.

This was a big difference in personal narrative writing. Personal narrative we just had to write about something that happened to us but feature articles we had to put the words in boxes and add pictures and do all of this other stuff. 

I think i did really well on picking my pictures and putting my writing into the boxes.

Personal narratives were easier but feature articles were more fun because we got to add pictures and we could do it on whatever we knew a lot about. 

 Overall this was a little challenging but in the end it turned out to look so good!
