I like spreadsheets because they do the math for you. I also like how it can do a lot of work.
I learned how to code in swift playgrounds i9n my first zoom lesson on swift playgrounds. There are code blocks but there are also shortcuts. The graphics in swift playgrounds is a little better than scratch.
I like how everyone’s music videos have a cool and funny animation to their projects! Unfourtanetly my audio for scratch does not work so I could not hear they music for the music videos.
What I found interesting is that coding is much more important than I had expected. I had never really thought about coding before I watched this video. By being able to control computers and machines, coding connects to many things in life such as music to vehicles to agriculture. As a result, coding is important in many ways of life.
In the past few weeks, I recently went biking. When I ride my bike up a hill, I am using mechanical energy. When I arrive at the top of the hill and when I go back down the hill, the mechanical energy becomes gravitational energy because I am going down with the gravity. I transferred from mechanical energy to gravitational energy because I was using power to go up and gravity did the work for me to go down.
Energy is the ability to do work and make matter move or change. For example, energy makes our planet move around the sun and cars move on the street. It also makes stars burn and provides electricity in our homes. For living things, energy allows us to move and grow.
This year in tech class, we did the flashlights, soldering and switches. I had a lot of fun in tech. I completed the flashlight and I have to take it home. I hope I will have a good time in technology during 7th grade.
