Final Capstone Essay

Did you know that archaeologists have found proof of Graffiti in Ancient Roman architecture? This is amazing information and begs the question: What is graffiti art and how has it evolved over time?

After doing tons of research I’ve found that Graffiti had started in ancient roman architecture and nobody knows when it first originated. But they know that graffiti was first found in the ancient Greek city called “Ephesus”. The archaeologists have found back then that they had carved graffiti onto their walls. Graffiti as you see today began in the late 1960’s in Philadelphia. The graffiti was mostly the artist’s signature on subways or trains. Now you see graffiti in almost every town!

Graffiti now focuses on social, political and emotional messages the way graffiti looks has changed, now you see bubbly letters in bright colors on the sides of buildings, bridges, and more. Graffiti has helped people understand important messages and it has also helped people to try and stop some of the issues. Or there are just tags in trains, buildings, and bridges.

I hope that answered: What is graffiti art and how has it evolved over time?

Reflecting On My Rube Goldberg

I made a Rube Goldberg machine! As you might already know, I sketched out my whole project and when I did it, I had completely redid my sketch and made a new one in a new room. It started off outside on the covered porch or in the basement but there wasn’t really parts of those rooms that I could use to create my Rube Goldberg so I moved it to the kitchen but then I realized that what I wrote in my sketch wouldn’t really work so I created a whole new Rube Goldberg machine. Every time I tried building the dominoes the kept falling before I even started filming, somehow I managed to get it done and I am so happy with the result! My video in right there if you want to watch it!

My Capstone So Far

My capstone project has been really interesting so far, I started off with modern architecture and came up with a question and sub questions I felt pretty good about them all and chose the sub questions but then I realized that modern architecture isn’t really what i want to do for capstone so I changed it to my other topic, my topics now graffiti art and my question is now, What is graffiti art and how has it evolved from when it began to now? I like my question and I’m glad I changed it and I’m excited to keep going. These questions were actually really easy to write for me and I can’t wait for it all to be done!

Starting My Rube Goldberg

I started to sketch out my project early on in the project. My Rube Goldberg is making something to knock over cups to put paint on a canvas. I had just recently put it together and tried it out only once just to see if it maybe can work, of course I didn’t use paint. When I tried it out it didn’t work, so I may have to change up my sketch. I am looking forward to doing this project and sharing my video!

Reflecting on the WeVideo Immigration

Making my WeVideo wasn’t that hard. First, I started with writing down my questions for my immigrant interview, I had wrote down ten questions for my grandpa to answer. Around thirty minutes later I called him. The interview itself took around twenty minutes to do, he had very good answers to my okay questions for him. He was so excited to have me interview him and little does he know, I always was going to interview him all along. I had this picture in my mind about how the interview and WeVideo was going to be like and while I was making My WeVideo I tried to exceed my expectations throughout the time I gave myself to do. Around a week later, I did my voice over, I did it at the last minute after showing it to my family. My WeVideo is exactly what I imagined and I cant wait for you all to watch it.

Reflecting on my Immigration interview

I interviewed my grandpa, It went pretty well, I might say It wet spectacular. I interviewed my grandpa after school on Friday, the 26th I had just finished writing down my ten questions a half an hour earlier and I felt really good about what I was going to ask him. when I called him he was so excited to be interviewed. We were on the phone for like fifteen minutes of me asking him questions and him answering them, I asked him questions like, what was the journey to America? or how did your parents decide to immigrate to America? I interviewed my grandpa because I am very close with him and he is one of the only immigrants I know. Asking my grandpa these questions made me feel like I am getting to know about a huge part of my grandpa’s life and I thought his immigration story was really cool. I am so Excited to start my Wevideo and I am thinking about what I can add or delete a lot lately. so far, this immigration project has been really good and I can’t wait for you all to see my Wevideo.

Constitution Project Research – Ryan

The research wasn’t too hard. When I was doing my research,  I found a really challenging thing and it was finding some resources that fit my question right because I realized that there are not many resources that answer my question. I ended up finding some resources. After I found the resources that worked for my question and was an actual good article I found it less challenging.

Constitution project – Ryan

My Question is “How does the Constitution provide for the removal of a President?” I thought this was a good question because of all the things that are going on right now like at the White House and all over the world, there are riots and the current presidents are doing nothing about it whatsoever, so I thought that was very interesting to me.

3D’s favorite desserts

This is my graphing project. I surveyed my classmates and teachers and asked them,”What,s Your Favorite Dessert?” I tallied my results and created a bar graph. On my slideshow, I created both a bar graph and a pictograph to display my data. One thing I enjoyed about this project was drawing and coloring the graph in. One thing I found challenging about this project was going over my bar graph with sharpie. I hope you enjoy viewing my final Google Slides Presentation.
