Edgewood Halloween Parade

On Oct. 31, Edgewood continued with its annual tradition of a Halloween Parade. To celebrate the Edgewood Centennial, there were special guests from 1919! Principal Dr. Houseknecht and Vice Principal Mr. Yang dressed up as the Wright brothers.

We also had other guests from different decades, represented by other school faculty.

And in case you missed it, the faculty’s shrunken heads were on display in the main office.

Edgewood Outing to Citi Field

On Sept. 13, the PTA organized an Edgewood outing to Citi Field to watch the Mets vs. the Marlins.

The fifth graders got to sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” at the 7th inning stretch.

The fun did not end there — “Mr. Met” paid a special visit!

Watch their performance below…

Welcome to the Edgewood Centennial Website!

This is a very special year for Edgewood Elementary School because January 2019 marks the 100th anniversary of the school’s establishment. The PTA and Edgewood faculty are making every effort to ensure that the events it organizes this year are extra special. We’re also organizing some new events to mark this exceptional year.

Check back often to see how we’ve been celebrating and what we’ve got coming up!
