Reading Timeline Reflection

A few weeks ago my teacher told us we had to make reading timelines of our reading life from when we started to read, to fifth grade. When we were told to make our timelines I first started on the most memorable books from when I was little/preschool, after I did that I had to try a little harder when I needed books for second grade and third grade. After I thought of all the books I was going to use for the timeline, I started to write small summaries on why I like the book and why I chose it for the timeline. Next, I made the book covers and glued them to the timeline. My least favorite part of the process is when I had to think of the covers, because after I thought of the covers that came to me right away, it took me a long time to think of the books a really long time ago. One book that impacted me the most is The Little Engine That Could. It impacted me because it taught me never to give no matter what, and to keep trying. Overall I really enjoyed doing the reading timeline and I think it helped me look at my reading life from when I was 3 to now, fifth grade! I hope you enjoyed my reading timeline reflection! Thank you for reading it!

Book Review

Diary of a wimpy kid by Jeff Kinney is a great book for 8- 12 year old girls and boys to read. It’s a graphic Novel but still totally worth reading. It’s really interesting and has a lot of funny parts to it. It is about a boy in middle school named Greg. In the book you follow Greg and his best friend Rowley Jefferson through their funny journey in middle school, but in middle school there are problems and they include… family, school, and dealing with his best friend Rowley.

My favorite parts are when Greg questions a life and I think it’s really funny that he does that because they’re so simple and then he makes them so complicated. I really recommend this book and hope you do read it, and enjoy it. Thank you for reading this!

Summary of The Bald Bandit

This is the summery of a book I read, The Bald Bandit. We learned that we don’t put every detail into our summary. We only put the highlights. We also learned that a summary introduces the characters, then what they were looking for, and what they found. I hope you enjoy my summary.

Detective Reddy comes to Dink’s house and tells everyone about a bank robbery. He asks them to find the video of the robbery. So Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose go to every house in the neighborhood to find the video. They finally find it at Lucky O’Leary’s house. Then they watch the video and find out Detective Reddy is really the criminal! They learn things aren’t always as they seem.
