What I learned in Technology Class : A quarter in a summary

There were certain things we learned. Cams/mechanics and the electric board, the automaton, and a catapult. I learned that the triangle is the strongest shape because aside cannot change unless the other side changes. I learned about automaton and the functions it could do. I learned its history and learned some of the most famous ones such as the boy writing a letter. I learned how to make a catapult out of popsicle sticks and to launch them. I learned how to cut off the outer layer of the wire to just leave the middle in there for the electric boards.  I learned that the fulcrum is the point where you move something and the point does not move. Finally, I learned about the cams and cranks that could create a function for the automatons and could make something look real. I learned so much in technology.

How to build Crank A

First, fold part 8 to have the square on top and circles on each side and with the back covered. Next, fold the top of part one back that makes a hole. Make sure it has enough to fit something through. Next, read parts C and D.

. Then, stick the ends of the piece through the circles from part 8 and the tall part through the square at the top. Fold out the flaps of each side and face the open side towards you. Put part 10 on the left, glue on the flaps and open the flaps on piece 9 and take the flaps from part 6 through it and glue the flaps from piece 6 onto the back of piece 9. Finally, glue the flaps on to piece 7 with the squares matching up and glue piece 11 to the bottom.

Bonus!: Put a animal or Human drawing (or together) On top to make it look like there moving.

Cams How to build Cam A

First, fold part eight to look like a box with the square on top and circles on the sides with the flaps glued down. Next, take piece one and fold the bottom out, and put it through the square on the top with the flaps glued to the top of the ceiling of it. Next, fold the flaps and paste them onto piece three where there are the dots. Next , read parts D and E

Next, face the open side towards you, glue part ten on the left where the square is and glue piece seven on the right with the flaps outward and with the flaps from piece 6 through the hole. Finally, put piece 11 on the flaps from part 6 with the square in the middle matching up with the square on piece 11 and glue piece 7 on the bottom.

Bonus!: Add an animal (Fish etc,) on top to make it look like its moving!
