My Audition!!

I was shaking so much! It was my first big audition! I was auditioning for a play done by Random Farms for the first time. When I saw the door swing open and the director call everyone to audition, I nearly feel off my chair! My mom said goodbye to me, but I didn’t want her to leave me here with these new people. I just smiled, and tried to be brave all by myself. I lined up and with all the other kids auditioning and the director took attendance. Finally it was my turn to say my name. I looked up into her gleaming eyes, and said in a shaky voice, “Samantha.” She looked down into my eyes and we made eye contact. She smiled and said “Well hello Samantha. Go and take a seat inside.” I quickly went inside and saw kids getting their pictures taken. Not too long after it was my turn to get my picture taken. It was very hard to smile at a time like this, but I managed to anyway. After that I took a seat, and not too long after that I hear the director call, “Samantha!” I looked up and saw it  was my time to audition! I walked up to the line where the director wanted me to stand. I then heard the music start, and I finally found my mouth and sang the first note of the song perfectly.

Meet my brother’s friend Valentina.  Valentina came to America when she was in sixth grade.  She likes it here very much, and someday wants to raise a family here, but if she had the choice she wouldn’t go back to Brazil. She has lots of family there so it is hard for her to want to stay in America.  “Valentina finally has a place to call home.”

Me singing!

That is me singing “Part Of Your World,” from the movie “The Little Mermaid.” I was very nervous at first, but after a while on stage I felt less nervous. My family was also there to support when I was on stage. At the end I was so proud of myself that I did it.

IFly

As I slid down the bench I get more and more nervous. I saw people in the tunnel having a fun time and enjoying themselves.

I started thinking about the last time I did this. I remember I was on a cruise that had IFly too. My family and I wanted to do it. So we all tried it. I remember watching my family fly up in the air like birds soaring through the sky! My little sister, who was six, didn’t want to do it. I wanted to do it! So when it was my turn I stepped in the tunnel and it was so LOUD! I tried to remember what the instructor had taught us. There were signals that we needed to know.  Now I had  forgotten     them and it just looked like the instructor was making cool movements with his hands. I was wobbling too much so  he took me out of the tunnel early. I never wanted to do it again!

Even though I swore I would never do it again,I was waiting for my turn to fly at my friend’s birthday party. My friend hugged me from behind I didn’t look back because I was too nervous to even look. My Mom, whispered in my ear “I know you can do it,” before she left. Then I heard the instructor say “Who’s next?” I looked around and saw that I was now in the front of the line! My palms got sweaty and sticky. My legs  became weak. I didn’t know if I should go or not . Everyone before me had gone and did great. I would feel left out and seem like a scaredy cat if I didn’t go. I then slowly stood up and walked toward the wind tunnel blasting with air.

Hello World

Hi, my names Samantha! In my family I am a middle child. I have an older brother, and a little sister . My favorite sport is swimming because I am on a swim team. The name of the Swim team is the Stingrays Swim Team. I play the violin and I can sing. I am also a skilled rock climber and bike rider. In school my favorite subject is writing, reading, and sometimes math. When I am at home I would either be doing my homework or playing with my puppy.
