Have you ever been running out of time on something very important? Well, this is exactly what happened to this character.

 

There was a kid named Joe. He was in third grade and he was going to play tryouts. He was at school. He really liked plays. He wanted to be an actor when he grew up. After tryouts,he got his character. It was a very important one! It was the main character in the play! He was so excited. He was thrilled! The next day he went biking.

 

When he was biking on the road, he suddenly hit a big rock. The bicycle suddenly stopped. Joe fell and hurt his leg. I t hurt like ten needles hitting his knee. It was bleeding badly. They got home and he ate dinner and went to sleep. It was very uncomfortable.

 

The next day, he went to the doctor. The doctor said he could not really run and his leg had to take another day to heal. The next day would be the play though. “Uh oh,”Joe thought. He also practiced a lot. H e thought I was not worth it at all.

 

After lunch, he went outside into his yard and thought,”How can I get my knee healed fast enough?” Then he thought,” maybe I could postpone the play so it could heal properly instead!”Then he went inside to tell his parents.

 

After dinner, when he finally convinced his mom in his house, she told him she did not know the phone number. She then called her friend who told her the phone number. She then called the people who ran the play. Mom said they only could postpone it for one day but that was enough. “ Yay!” Joe said, thrilled. He learned to always to be aware so you do not get hurt.
