This week is week 6 of technology. As you probably know, winter break starts on Wednesday, so week 6 is a very short week.
In today’s blog post I will be updating you on my woodworking project I have been making on Tinkercad. I did not post last week (sorry!), because we were doing other things in class but this post will sum up last week and this week.
I believe it was Monday or Tuesday that I finished my project on Tinkercad. For me (I am making a compact mirror) it was a very simple project which is why I finished so early. On Wednesday I placed my wood order for how wood I would need. In total I need two pieces of balsa wood which are 36″ long x 3″ tall x 1/4″ thick, as well as two hinges, some wood glue, and two circle shape mirrors that are 2.5″ in diameter.
When we come back from holiday break I think we will be making our projects in class!
While we have been at home learning we have also been learning about the different types of wood and their uses using Nearpods and slideshows.
I am very excited to start making our projects in class! I hope you enjoyed my week 5+6 recap.
Happy holidays and enjoy the holiday break!
